The day of liberty -the end of II. WW in Hungary, end of the fascism -and the start of socialism...
1945-re a szovjet/orosz hadsereg teljesen kivérzett, a kényszersorozott katonák átlag életkora 15-16 év volt. Ezek a fiúk haltak tömegestől Magyarországon úgy, hogy rövid életükben gyakorlatilag soha nem találkoztak a kommunizmus, a Marxizmus-Leninizmus filozófiájával. Esténként félelmükben ugyan úgy sírtak mint a német gyerekek a lövészárok másik felén. Róluk szól ez a dal.
By 1945 the Soviet army had bled white and the average age of the soldiers became 15-16 years. They sacrificed their young lives far from their homes in Hungary - often calling for their mothers amidst the horrors of war. Primarily they were not concerned about communism or socialism but defending their country, homes and families fighting an inhumane empire.
At nights cowering in fear they were crying just as the german kids at the other side of the trenches.
The translation of the lyrics (english version only where, work of my friend and brother, Ray ((tnx bby))):
"Take to the road and never look back!
Behind you a thousand years of sorrow,
At last shines upon you the sun full of light
Happily merrily resound this song:
(Chorus:)April the fourth told by the song,
Liberatedly resound the people!
Sturdy voices blaringly roar to the wind,
Our Liberator's heroic name!
The cannon roared and tramp the steel
The motherland bled and clanged the skies
Won the heroic soviet legions
Centuries of tears were washed away
(Chorus:)April the fourth told by the song,
Liberatedly resound the people!
Sturdy voices blaringly roar to the wind,
Our Liberator's heroic name!"
Singing: The Pioneer Choir of Hungarian National Radio, 1972.
